MUSTARD SEEDS AND MOUNTAINS FROM JESUS AND THE APOSTLES
WHAT SHOULD WE PRAY ABOUT?
Tip No. 1: Pray about everything. Matt. 21: 22 All things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
Tip No. 2: There is nothing too small for Him or too big. Matt 17:20. Mustard seeds and mountains are all the same to our God.
WHEN SHOULD WE PRAY?
Tip No. 3: Pray when you are worried or upset. Phil 4:6. Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything Your worry is God’s red light to stop fretting and His green light for us to start praying. Pray about anything and everything that worries you.
Tip No. 4: Pray at all times. Keep in constant touch with Him. 1 Thess 5:17: Pray without ceasing. Jesus didn’t invite us to ask, He commanded it. It is His opportunity to demonstrate His love and faithfulness to us by answering our requests.
DOES GOD TIRE OF OUR NAGGING?
Tip No. 5: Never! In fact, Jesus didn’t invite us to ask ask, He commanded it. Matt 7.7: Ask (imperative voice) and it will be given you…All who ask will receive. It is God’s great pleasure to help us in our time of need. It is vital to our relationship with Him, an important way He shows us His faithfulness and love.
WHAT ABOUT MY DOUBTS AND FEARS?
Tip No. 6: Admit your doubts. God wants our honesty. Remember how Jesus honored and blessed a doubter. John 20: 27: “Jesus told Thomas, “Take your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.” We can honestly pray, “Lord, I know I should have more faith, but I have doubts” Mark 9:23 As Jesus said to the Father of the sick child, “All things are possible to him that believes.” The father replied, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief” And Jesus healed the boy.
